Little Rock Animal Services (LRAS) Adoption Procedures

1 2 "Date Available" is the date the animal is available for adoption. You will not be allowed to sign up for an animal to reserve it. Go to the LRAS General Info page for directions to the shelter, telephone numbers and other valuable information.

If you find an animal on our adoption page, be sure to write down the intake number from the animal's description. It will make finding the dog much easier.

Go to the shelter and get to know the animal. You do not have to wait until the animal is available for adoption to go see it. Take it out of the kennel and into an area away from the other barking dogs. There is a lot going on at the shelter and this will give you the opportunity to get an idea of your potention friend.

In many cases Last Chance Arkansas can help facilitate out-of-state adoptions. There is a regular weekly transport that runs from Arkansas to the New England area. We can also fly your new family member to you. If you see a dog you would like to adopt, please email Jayme for more information. Please be sure to include your location and the intake number of the dog you are inquiring about.
