Last Chance Arkansas needs reliable volunteers who have compassionate hearts and a desire to help save the lives of homeless animals.
Here are ways to help:
Foster
We desperately need people who can provide a short-term home for dogs that have been pulled from LRAS and are awaiting transportation
to out-of-state rescue groups. This is usually for a period of 2 to 4 weeks.

Photographers
Do you have a digital camera? Do you like taking pictures? Then we need your help in taking pictures of the animals in the LRAS for posting
on our web site. We typically photograph the animals on Tuesdays and Fridays but we can be flexible if you can help at other times.
Holders
Even if you don't have a camera, you can still help by holding the animals for the photographer.
Describers
You don't even have to be in Little Rock to do this! All you need is a knack for words. This involves writing brief descriptions
of the animals after their pictures have been posted on our web site.
Donate
Every dog rescued from LRAS
must be spayed or neutered, receive vaccinations and be in generally good health before
being placed in an adoptive home. Although we receive very generous discounts from several Little Rock area veterinarians, it still costs a significant amount
of money for every dog rescued. In addition to veterinary expenses, we frequently
have transportation expenses to get a dog to his forever home. We try not
to let money stand in the way of saving these wonderful dogs, but we have to cover
our expenses or we can't continue doing what we do. Donations can be made

Other Ways to help
Walk, bathe and play with the animals in the shelter.
Assist at special adoption events on weekends at PetsMart and other locations in the Central Arkansas area.
Screen adopters and facilitate adoptions.
Help with fund raisers.
Raise Awareness
One of the easiest ways you can turn your COMPASSION into
ACTION is by distributing these flyers to spread the word about how people can help
the animals at Little Rock Animal Services. We spend all the money that is
donated to us on the animals, rather than on advertising, so it would be a huge
help if you could help us advertise in this way!

from the links to the left and then post or leave them at your local vet offices,
pet stores, retail stores, schools, churches, restaurants, your place of employment

before posting or leaving them!
