Last Chance for Arkansas Animals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing animals in partnership with Little Rock Animal Services

 

Why adopt a shelter dog?


  • Shelter animals will bond quicker and deeper with their new familes.

  • Shelter animals seem to want to please as much as possible to make sure they are never homeless again.

  • Mixed breeds are generally healthier and have less genetic problems than purebreeds.

  • Shelter dogs are CHEAPER - sterilization and the first round of shots can easily cost $200. The adoption fee is only $90 and includes these services.

  • An average of 50 to 60 dogs and cats enter LRAS every week.

  • Many have been living on the streets, but a surprising number are surrendered by their owners. There are far too few adoptions and rescues and we are working hard to find them all homes one dog at a time.
